Banana Boats

As you can see, my girls could barely contain their excitement. This is a simple, fun dessert idea to do with kids. You may have even seen or done something similar while on a camping trip. Kids (and adults) love to top their bananas with all sorts of goodies, wrap them up in foil, bake and unfold them to reveal the ooey gooey delicious mess inside! For our banana boats, we used vegan chocolate chips, peanut butter and slivered almonds. But be creative! So many different toppings would taste great with these.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 banana per person
  • toppings
  • foil torn into squares

Super simple, right? : )

Just pile the toppings on…

Admire your beautiful handiwork…

Wrap them up…

Pop them in the oven at 300 for about ten minutes…

And devour!

They don’t look pretty but sometimes presentation is overrated.

Happy eating!
