Chili-Lime Grapefruit Salad

I just love simple side dishes that liven up a meal or add something unexpected to the mix. I served this fresh, fruity, tangy salad as a side to a dinner spread of vegetable kabobs, corn on the cob, kale chips and pea pate toasts.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 2 ripe grapefruit
  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • chili-lime salt
  • a sprinkling of sugar (optional)

Slice the grapefruit into large chunks and toss with the sugar. Place into a serving bowl. Sprinkle the lime zest and chili-lime salt on top before serving.

If you don’t have any chili-lime salt, simply use some red chili powder or cayenne powder and coarse sea salt. You can add in a splash of lime juice too if you’d like.
